Pembelajaran di sekolah mengalami permasalahan serius karena pandemi, termasuk di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Pembelajaran dengan 30% teori dan 70% praktek sulit dilaksanakan, padahal ini adalah keistimewaan dari Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Proporsi waktu belajar di rumah mengharuskan guru memilih metode yang tepat agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Metode tugas terstruktur dapat dijadikan sebagai pilihan untuk mengatasi kurangnya pertemuan tatap muka. Tugas terstruktur yang diberikan sebelum pembelajaran dimulai membuat guru dan siswa lebih mendalami dan memahami materi .
